Silly Spinning Contest

The point of the spinning experiment is to see which ball will spin faster in water, the smooth street hockey ball or the fuzzy tennis ball. I think the smooth hockey ball will go faster then the tennis ball, because
 the fuzzy material on the tennis ball is going to be sticking out and slowing it down.







My results were: the tennis ball spins faster than the street hockey ball. But something went wrong,  because the smooth ball was supposed to spin faster than the tennis ball.The smooth ball spins faster in the water because it has less friction than the fuzzy tennis ball. The tennis ball is rough and fuzzy on
the outside, so there is more friction when it rubs against the water.

Why does the street hockey ball go faster in the water than the tennis ball?

Do you want to try this experiment at your house? You just need a smooth ball,
a tennis ball,and two bowls of water.What you have to do
is put one ball in each bowl and then you twist them with your hand. Then, observe the two balls and record your observations.
